Franklin County used a punishing running game and a stout rushing defense to down the G.W. Eagles 34-20. G.W. started off like gangbusters, scoring less than two minutes into the game. But Franklin County quarterback Kyle Ellis scored twice in the first quarter, staking them out to a 14-6 halftime lead. Franklin County added a a third-quarter score, but G.W. responded on the final play of the third quarter. Franklin County then scored quickly, but G.W. answered quickly. The two-point conversion made it 27-20, but Franklin County embarked on a long touchdown drive to put the game away. G.W. was held to minus-one rushing yard---their lowest total in memory. Franklin County racked up 356 yards on the ground.
