Season-opening shutout!!
For the second year in a row, the GW Eagles opened their season with a decisive win over the Person County Rockets. This time, a 35-0 blowout at Christopher Stadium. The Eagles marched downfield on their first possession and scored first. Later, Hunter Byrnes took matters into his own hands to make it 14-0! The Eagles kept the Rockets out of the end zone on the final play of the first half to take a two-touchdown lead into the break.
The second half was all GW. Their first drive was capped by a short scoring pass. The Eagles added two more touchdowns in the fourth quarter to win 35-0!
