Homecoming shutout!
For the third week in a row, the GW Eagles built up a big first-half lead, then enjoyed a scrolling clock in the second half, en route to an easy win. The Eagles beat Patrick County 49-0...their third shutout of the year.
For the first straight week,
the Eagles scored on their first possession, with Malik Clements hauling in a
short pass. Caleb McGeough hit two field goals, Hunter Byrnes threw two
touchdown pass and scored once on the ground; but the biggest gainer was
Kuashawn Forest! The Sophomore scored three touchdowns on only six carries
as the Eagles built up a 46-0 halftime lead.
The Eagles move to 6-0 with the win. Next up, a showdown Friday at Magna
Vista, who is also 6-0!
