After mother nature washed them out on Friday, the Eagles waited until Monday to make the long journey to Dry Fork to take on the Tunstall Trojans.  Despite an uneven offensive performance and a solid Trojan effort, the Eagles got away with a 34-6 win.

The Eagles struggled offensively in the first quarter.  Tunstall gave them a gift with a fumble deep in their own territory.  GW converted a short touchdown run to go up 7-0.  The only other offensive came when a long run from C.J. Graves set up a short touchdown pass, giving the Eagles a 14-0 lead at the break.

The Eagles offense still sputtered in the second half, but Graves was on a mission.  He had three second-half scores and a long punt return to lead the Eagles to a 34-6 road win.  The Eagles return to Christopher Stadium Friday to host Patrick County in their home district opener.

Donald Smith goes up for a ten-yard touchdown from Sam Branch
