Fourth quarter fizzle dooms Eagles

The GW Eagles lost their third straight game to open the 2023 season.  The EC Glass Hilltoppers used two big fourth-quarter runs to bust open a close game, leaving Danville with a 27-14 win. 

The Eagles scored first, but Glass countered with two touchdowns to take a 13-7 halftime lead.  It stayed that way through the middle of the the fourth quarter.

The Eagles nearly re-took the lead on a big punt return from Eli Bridges.  But the Eagles could not score. Glass ripped off two long scoring runs to put the game away.
