2026 Week 10

For the third year in a row, the Piedmont District champsion came down to the winner of the G.W./Magna Vista football game. And for the third year in a row, the Eagles took the crown.

After a strong start by the Eagles, and a strong comeback by the Warriors, G.W.'s massive offensive line and special quarterback took the air out of the ball in the second half, scoring touchdowns on all three possessions to power to a 45-19 win.

The Eagles stormed out of the gate, getting a touchdown pass on their first drive. On their second drive they fell short of the end zone, but executed their first field goal of the year to stretch the margin out to 10-0.

On the first play of the second quarter the Eagles dialed long-distance with a young man who had not carried the ball since week 4!

But the Eagles' 17-0 lead was short-lived. Magna Vista scored to make it 17-6. The Eagles fumbled during the kickoff return, giving the Warriors the ball. They scored again to make it 17-13 at the break.

Magna Vista drove the ball to open the second half, but an E.J. Linder interception gave the Eagles the ball back. And then the line took over. Three possessions...three touchdowns! A strip and a score from DNH rounded out the scoring as the Eagles win their third straight Piedmont District title!!
